DID YOU KNOW?

Conception and birth are intricate processes, but did you know that many of the crucial steps of development begin as early as 8 weeks of gestation? Growing babies begin to develop tissues that differentiate into muslces, bone, organs, vessels, etc.

Some familiar genetic variances in development can manifest as cleft palate, Spina Bifida, and Down syndrome. However, following the second month of development, variances manifest much differently and include ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, dyslexia, acid reflux, oral ties, digestive discomfort, etc.

Manual therapy addresses the mechanical movement of the brain tissues, as well as fluid movement, in order for the structures within our bodies to move more effectively. As the brain is able to function more effectively, the symptoms begin to resolve. With proper support, our bodies are capable of AMAZING things!

UNDERSTANDING TRAUMA

Trauma is defined as any experience that deeply affects a person in a way that has lasting harm. It can include:

  • Physical: injury or harm; a fall or accident
  • Mental: psychological; results from stress, shock, or a life-threatening situation
  • Emotional: emotional pain or distress, such as abuse, loss, or betrayal

ALL HAVE A SUBSTANTIAL LASTING IMPACT ON OUR BODY!

Infants, children and adults are exposed to traumatic experiences. Trauma has a negative impact on the connective tissues within the body, resulting in stress, tension, and a host of symptoms that snowball into many conditions that our society experiences today!

CST works gently to restore balance, allowing the body’s natural healing abilities to come forward and process trauma more effectively.
